Dear friends,
In the last few days we have been experiencing an unprecedented, unpredictable situation, caused by the dissemination of the new coronavirus (Covid-19) across the globe. From the very beginning of this health crisis, our main priority has been the protection of our employees, clients and their families.
The measures recently adopted by several governments converge, consisting of confining people to their homes in order to contain the propagation of the virus. Schools were closed firstly, followed by public establishments, such as restaurants, bars, cinemas, stadiums and places of worship. From now onwards, all “non-essential” public locations will be closed.”
Ensuring the continuity of food supply to populations is an obvious need… As part of the food production chain, our sector must continue to operate.
Given the scale of this epidemic, we have decided to implement measures essentially aimed at protecting our employees and ensuring the continuity of our operations, in line with our values, albeit suited to the situation, such as to allow our clients to continue with their activities.
Some of our employees are working from home, while others are working at DIN, as required by our production system. Working schedules based on staggered shifts have been implemented at our manufacturing sites, laboratory and administrative services. Visits by our technicians will be limited to critical situations, while meetings shall take place though videoconference. We will also provide information updates on our website. We intend to continue supporting our clients by ensuring the continuity of our production and delivery activities, as well as our analytical services and technical support.
In these difficult times, we ask you to remain calm: our factories, laboratory and distribution services will continue to operate. We would also like to thank our colleagues for their dedication and our clients for their patience and understanding, should any problems occur.
By adopting a reactive attitude with respect to the implementation of these emergency measures, we believe that we will be able to continue supporting our clients, which is why we wish to reassure you: we will do our utmost to ensure you will continue to receive our products.
Therefore, we are grateful to all employees who have remained at the workplace, in our factories and livestock farms, as this effort is key to guaranteeing the supply of food to the population in general and ensuring the continuity of our businesses.
We thank you for your resilience and solidarity during the past few days and the coming weeks, until this health crisis has been overcome.
A huge Thank You to everyone. Look after yourself, look after others.
