Drinking water in a livestock farm has to be potable and free from harmful substances. Water quality should be monitored before distribution, in order to guarantee the absence of microbiological contamination and ensure that the respective physical and chemical properties are suited to the specific characteristics of each farm. Equipment maintenance should also be considered. Records of all analytical tests performed, test results, treatment and maintenance should be kept.
