“Demedication” projects

All entities involved in the animal production chain share a common responsibility and play a key role in resource optimisation. This joint responsibility drives us to step up our efforts in the protection of public health and environmental conservation.
 
In addition to representing a pillar of environmental awareness, livestock sector “demedication” is a legal obligation that will entail the need to discontinue the use of medicinal zinc oxide and the requirement to use a single antimicrobial agent per complete feed in the very short term.
 
DIN, SA has been developing several projects with a view to identifying the alternatives that will have a greater impact on zootechnical performance, and which are best suited to the existing conditions. The research and innovation efforts that form the basis of this new approach to production represent the key to success.
